Our Janitorial Program prepares students for entry-level positions as custodians.
About the Course
Our Janitorial Program prepares students for entry-level positions as custodians. This non-credit course includes guidance in safety, the right use of tools, equipment, chemicals, materials, and supplies, as well as the proper application of dusting, sweeping, and mopping, as well as the use of ladders, scaffolds, various floor machines, and specialized equipment.
Funding Assistance: Assistance may include coverage for up to $1,000 of childcare per month for up to six months. Short-term vocational trainings are available in Healthcare, Childcare, and other fields.
Auxiliary Aides and services are available upon requests to individuals with disabilities.
Eligibilty for Training
Each student must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the funding assisted training program.
- Parent with dependent Aged child
- Low to Moderate Income or Presumed Low Income Population
- Returning to the Workforce
- Impacted by COVID-19
- Must be residence of the City of LA
